Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

38 “The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

39 “The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, the reapers are the angels.

40 “Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

41 “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,

42 “and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

In this parable Jesus spoke plainly about what will happen at the end of the age.  He said that the wheat and tares would be left to grow together until the harvest.   The harvest is the end of the age. This is a very important sign of the true end of this age. The end of the age has not yet come as long as the sons of the kingdom and the sons of the wicked one are on earth together.

The tares will be gathered and removed first. This truth must be emphasized again and again because so many have been taught for so long that the church will the raptured out first while the wicked are left behind.

Jesus’ explanation of this parable gives a very clear picture of the true sequence of the end-time events. The tares all being gathered out first means there will be a total removal of all things evil at the time of the end.  The last enemy, death, will be destroyed at the resurrection of all of the dead.  The words of the prophets, the apostles and the Lord Jesus all show the same thing.  The book of Revelation brings it all together…

There are also many Scriptures that promise complete protection from all harm for the saints while the tares are being removed.  In fact, they will not only be protected but will have part in the judgments written.  (Psalm 149: 5-9; Revelation 2:26-28)

This will not fit some of the popular prophetic teaching of today about the last days.  Therefore, those who believe the Christians will be taken out of the world first, before the wicked, must either ignore this parable, or try to say it does not apply to this age.

In Revelation, the seven trumpets and seven bowls of wrath show the details of the removal of all of Jesus’ enemies. God will use hail, fire, whirlwind, flood, plagues and a great shaking for it. The nations and their armies will be destroyed at Armageddon.

Just before the hour of His judgment begins, God, in mercy, will give three clear warnings to every person on earth. Some will refuse God’s warning. Yet there will be a great turning to the Lord as all families of the nations worship before Him.  Psalms 22:27

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Revelation 14:6-12

A great event is directly linked to this same time. When Jesus ascended into heaven God told Him to sit at His right hand till His enemies were made His footstool. When all Jesus’ enemies are removed the time for Him to rule in the midst of His enemies will be over. Jesus will return for us as soon as the appointed time for repentance and salvation is completed.  II Peter 3:13-18; Revelation 10:5-7

Psalm 110:1, 2 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” . . . Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Hebrews 10:12, 13 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

The promise for the future spiritual blessings of our children does not depend on whether or not they have been baptized or dedicated as babies. God has made a special covenant with the par-ents who earnestly seek the Lord and turn from all transgression.

Isaiah 59: 20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” says the LORD.

21 “As for Me,” says the LORD, “this is my covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendant’s descendants, says the LORD, “from this time and forevermore.

No matter what may be happening now in the lives of your descendants, seek the Lord and turn from every transgression and God will work mightily in their lives. In time to come, sooner or later, they will speak His words and sing His praise in the Spirit. Even to your descendant’s descendants! Do not be discouraged

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; they will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses.

Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. (John 6:45)

Psalms 103:17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children,

18 to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

Psalms 37:26; Isaiah 66:22;65:23; Psalms 112:2; Proverbs 20:7; Joel 1:3; Malachi.4:6

And I include all who belong to me by marriage or adoption!
